What is the Armed Forces Covenant?

Armed Forces Covenant

For Business

You can support the Armed Forces by pledging to the Armed Forces Covenant. The Armed Forces Covenant is a pledge from the country that Armed Forces personnel (serving or retired) and their dependents will be treated fairly. Businesses can show their support for the Armed Forces community by signing the covenant and committing to a range of publicised written promises. This may include offering Military discount to service personnel or by offering employment to those making the transition to civilian life. By pledging to the Armed Forces Covenant, a business will also gain permission to use the Armed Forces Covenant logo and promote the fact that it supports our heroes.

For Communities

The Armed Forces Covenant is also a pledge to show mutual support between a civilian community and its Armed Forces community. A community may wish to promote events that encourage its civilians to integrate with the local forces community. Community projects may also be eligible for grants from the Covenant Fund.

For Veterans

The Armed Forces Covenant aims to help assist Veterans on issues such as finance, employment, healthcare and advice. This is achieved in partnership with related companies and organisations who offer their services to forces personnel.

Armed Forces

There are many organisations involved with the Armed Forces Covenant, including Cadet Groups, Forces Charities, communities and other businesses ranging from small to very large, as well as the British Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force.

The Armed Forces are crucial and often taken for granted. Many of us forget to appreciate the service that our Heroes provide and fail to consider what would happen without them.
