InterService Rugby Championships 2025

Celebrating sport and service, the Inter Service Championship brings together the rugby teams of the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force for the biggest occasions in the military sporting calendar.

With matches at Franklin’s Gardens, Northampton (Saturday 19 April), Allianz Stadium, Twickenham (Saturday 3 May), and Kingsholm Stadium. Gloucester (Saturday 17 May), in 2025 the Inter Service Championship will be showcasing the best of Armed Forces Rugby in some of England’s most iconic venues.

Every passing year sees the rugby become more and more competitive, no more so than in 2024. The Navy’s senior men had to hold off a second half fightback from the RAF to win by a single point. But the Senior Service were then on the receiving end of two late tries from the Army at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham, in one of the most thrilling finishes to a match ever seen at the home of England Rugby.

In the Women’s competition the Army and RAF both beat the Navy, meaning that for both the Senior Men and Senior Women the destiny of the overall Championship went down to the final round between the RAF and Army at Kingsholm Stadium. Strong second half performances saw the titles go to the Army.

The rugby is the centre of the day, but all three match days are events to remember in their own right for all the family.

Junior (Under-16) tickets for all three match days start at £5, and there are specific family- friendly zones at both Allianz Stadium and Kingsholm Stadium.

Allianz Stadium also has the world famous West Fan Village, full of interactive stands, and there will be performances from the Band of HM Royal Marines during the course of the day.

For Junior supporters at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens there is the opportunity to win a place as a mascot for one of the four teams who will be playing. All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is to order a Junior ticket before March 31. Terms and conditions apply; visit www.interservicerugbychampionship.org.uk and follow the links to the news pages for all the information.

Inter Service Championship rugby is for the whole military community, and supports a number of Charities of the Day, including the Royal Naval Association, FAB Camps, the RAF Benevolent Fund and Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity.
